STEVE Bruce believes Hull City are “expected” to beat Millwall on Saturday – but knows that doing so will not be straightforward.
The Tigers boss saw his side beat recently-relegated Bolton 3-1 before the international break and hopes of a successful season are high at the KC Stadium.
Hull have won two, drawn one and lost one out of their first four matches and Bruce is confident of picking up another three points when the Lions arrive in Humberside.
“With Andy Keogh and Darius Henderson up front, we know we’ll have to defend well,” he told Hull’s official site. “They will put balls into our box, they’ll be direct and they’ll be up and at us.
“They’re from South London, they’re Millwall and they will be aggressive. We know what to expect. Certainly Kenny Jackett always gets his teams to play in the right way.
“It’ll be a typical Championship game. We’ve turned over Bolton but this will be a totally different kettle of fish. We’re expected to go and beat Millwall, but it will be difficult.
“We set high standards against Bolton and I hope we can repeat them.”
