MILLWALL striker John Marquis has been ruled out for two weeks after picking up a groin injury in training.

The 20-year-old looks likely to miss the Lions’ next four fixtures at Hull, Cardiff, Brighton and Burnley.

Marquis has been consistently selected in manager Kenny Jackett’s matchday squads so far this season, but he has yet to make an appearance off the substitutes’ bench.

Jackett has ruled out the possibility of sending Marquis out on loan, saying he remains a valuable member of his squad, but the Lions boss will be without his number nine for the next fortnight.
