MILLWALL captain Paul Robinson is set to make his long-awaited return from injury after the international break in September.
The 30-year-old, whose return from a double hernia operation has been hampered by a groin niggle, could feature in an U21 fixture against Barnet next Tuesday.
The defender has rejoined full training with the rest of the Lions squad and is targeting a return against Hull City on September 15.
Millwall have struggled defensively since the new season got underway, conceding eight goals in four games, and asked whether he was missing his skipper, manager Kenny Jackett said:
“Maybe. Looking at our goals against column we haven’t kept any clean sheets, so that’s something we want to be working towards.
“But that’s something for the whole team to improve. As a side, we think we can rectify that with some hard work and the right combinations in defence.”
