Preston boss Westley hoping to wrap up Beavon deal

PRESTON manager Graham Westley has revealed that he is confident of beating Millwall to the signing of Stuart Beavon.

The Lions have cooled their interest in the Wycombe striker in recent days to leave the Lilywhites favourites to land the 28-year-old.

The League One club are yet to agree a fee for Beavon but are hoping to complete the deal later this week.

Westley said: “We have made a bid it is no secret and we are hoping that Beavon will come here and be apart of what we are doing. We would love to have him here.

“He is a big asset but negotiations are on going and we are hoping they will come to a conclusion.”
