STEVE Lomas admitted he could not wait to start working with Steve Morison after bringing the striker back to Millwall on loan from Leeds United.

Morison, who scored 40 goals in 95 appearances for the Lions between 2009 and 2011, has re-joined the club for the season and becomes Lomas’ second summer signing.

Lomas said: “Once we saw there was an opportunity to sign Steve we didn’t want to mess about, we wanted to get it done. He’s big, aggressive and a strong runner.

“He can score goals so we are delighted to have him on board. He is really positive about coming back – a lot of people say you should never go back but he wanted to get it done as much as we did.

“Steve will improve us, that’s for certain, and I wanted more competition in the squad. I can’t wait to get working with the big man. In another week’s time, we’ve got Andy Keogh coming back from holiday so it is an exciting time.

“I want to get a couple new players in early on in pre-season and Steve is a big one for us.”
